School-O-Vision Song Contest, The - By Andrew Oxspring, Nick Haworth, Lisa and Mark Hilton
Product Description
We've recently had the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s win at Eurovision. But forget Eurovision! We bring you instead an equally spectacular musical extravaganza - the School-O-Vision Song Contest!
Representing the varied groups that make up our school community, different acts compete to win the School-O-Vision crown, half a century after it was first won by legendary group, RABBLE!
Between flamboyant musical performances and the hosts’ catty banter, we also get to peek behind the scenes at the groups in their daily lives and find out how teachers, parents, premises officers, kitchen staff, infants and, of course, this year’s Yr 6 leavers, all contribute to school life in their own unique and hilarious ways!
Contains 49 speaking parts with a cast size including non-speaking parts of 55, which can be easily reduced to 22 or easily increased to 100+. Suitable for KS2 (ages 7-11).
The Book and CD Pack includes the full script with detailed stage directions, character information, tips and suggestions for costumes, props and scenery, a CD of all songs (vocal tracks and backing tracks) plus continuity/incidental music and sound effects where required and a piano score with voice line and guitar chords for all the songs.
Also available is a CD-ROM of Digital Backdrops containing eight images in the sequence they are required throughout the script, supplied in both a PowerPoint presentation and as individual hi-resolution JPG files. No more scenery painting! These images may be projected onto a screen or wall at the back of your stage or hand them to a local printer to print onto large boards or sheets in order to create your stage backdrops. They're also useful to print off for cast and stage crew to familiarise themselves with the sets and scene changes.
A free editable copy of the script in Word format is also available upon request when you purchase (and have paid for) this musical from us. Simply e-mail your request, along with your name and address, and we will arrange for a copy of the script to be sent to you by e-mail. This will allow you to edit the script, if required, and to print as many copies of the script as you require.
Approximate Duration: 60 minutes
