Sleeping Beauty's Dream - By Nick Toczek
Product Description
As she wanders through Pantoland in search of her Prince, Beauty encounters 3 bears, a wolf, a fairy and 14 frogs!
Sleeping Beauty's Dream is a fun and flexible panto, including popular songs for everyone to sing and parts for all. With all the traditional elements of the classic pantomime story, this retelling also introduces a host of other well-known characters and some novel twists.
Perfect for Upper Primary/Lower Secondary, it also offers scope to include younger children and adults, with parts to suit a broad range of abilities, aptitudes and experience. Its inventive comedy and lively characterisation also make it eminently suitable for amateur dramatic, semi-pro and professional performance.
There are twenty-seven speaking parts (including a chorus of ten) and a total of around three dozen parts (could be slightly less if chorus members also play guests and forest creatures or many more if others are given parts as Baby Beauty, extra guests, extra chorus members, extra creatures, extra frogs and so on).
The Teacher's Book contains the cast list, props and scenery list and full piano and vocal score (with chords), along with educational information on the history of Pantomime and a CD containing both demonstration and backing tracks (no musical experience required!). The script and song lyrics are available separately in the Pupil's Book (GA11517).
