Product Description

Not just an entertaining musical, Trouble At The Tudor Banquet is also the most original and user-friendly Tudor resource we have seen. The package not only contains the music, dance and drama to perform but also provides the teacher with plenty to support a Tudor project, including period games and recipes.

Anne and Robert are preparing for their first Tudor banquet but spoilt Robert is unimpressed, especially with learning the Pavane dance. At the market they meet Tom, whose father is one of the court musicians. He can't understand Robert's reluctance. Tom sneaks into the banquet uninvited, ending up in deep trouble, involving the Queen, a jester costume and an inability to juggle!

The CD features Tudor-period instruments and performances are by internationally acclaimed recorder group 'Trio Tagarela'. The CD supplies full vocal demonstrations by children as well as instrumental backing tracks that have clear melody cues for performance. Recorder / percussion players can either play independently or play along to the CD depending on their level of ability.

The Director's Book contains the script and full scores for musical items. Parts are written for descant, treble, tenor and bass recorder, as well as tuned and untuned percussion. Guitar chords also included. Recorder/percussion players can either play independently or play along to the CD depending on their level of ability.

This is a wonderful Tudor resource, complete with a narrated version of the show and is ideal for school plays or assemblies. Age guide 7-12 years.
